In short: WRead is a reader for your own text files on iPhone and Apple Watch. Your files stay on your devices: we never receive them, their names or their contents. There is no account. To run the App, sell WRead Pro and improve the App, we use a few service providers (Google Firebase, Mixpanel and RevenueCat) that receive usage, crash and purchase data linked to random identifiers. You can turn usage data off at any time in Settings › Privacy › Share Usage Data. We don't track you, show ads, sell your data or share it with AI services.

WRead (the "App", including its Apple Watch app) is published by ONNEX YAZILIM ANONİM ŞİRKETİ ("Onnex", "we", "us"), a company established in Türkiye. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy, including under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 ("KVKK").
You can open this policy from Settings › Privacy in the App, from the upgrade screen, and from the App's page on the App Store.
We do not collect: the contents, names or titles of your files; your name, phone number or contacts; your precise location; photos, health or fitness data; or your device's advertising identifier (IDFA). The only email address we receive is the one you use if you email us.
| Category | What it includes | How it is collected | Why we use it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Usage data | App launches and sessions, screens viewed, features used (for example, that a file was added and whether it came from Files, Paste or the sample book), onboarding steps, upgrade screen views, and App Store purchases made in the App. On iPhone and Apple Watch this includes reading activity: the type of file (for example, text, code or subtitles), its size range, reading time, reading mode and whether a file was finished — never the file's name, title or contents | Automatically, by Mixpanel and Google Analytics for Firebase inside the App, only while Share Usage Data is on. The Apple Watch app has no analytics software: it passes its events to your iPhone, which sends them | To understand how the App is used and improve it |
| Diagnostics | Crash reports: stack traces, time of the crash, device model, operating system and app version, free memory and disk space, and whether the device is jailbroken | Automatically, by Firebase Crashlytics when the App crashes, only while Share Usage Data is on | To find and fix bugs |
| Device and app information | Device model, operating system and app version, language and region settings, and approximate location (country, region, city) that Google derives from your IP address | Automatically, by the Firebase services with the data above | To understand which devices, languages and regions to support |
| Identifiers | The App User ID (see below), Mixpanel device ID, Firebase installation ID, Google Analytics app instance ID, Apple's Identifier for Vendor (IDFV) and Crashlytics installation ID. All are random; none is your name, email or Apple Account | Created on your device by the App and the Firebase and RevenueCat software in it | To count installations, connect events from the same installation, keep your purchases on iPhone and Apple Watch, and find your data when you contact us |
| Purchase information | Product bought, price and currency, purchase, renewal and expiration dates, transaction identifiers and App Store country | From Apple through the StoreKit framework when you buy or restore WRead Pro, processed by RevenueCat | To unlock and restore Pro on your devices, prevent fraud, and understand revenue |
| Support messages | Your email address, your message, and the details the App adds to the email draft: App User ID, app version, iOS version and iPhone model (you can delete them before sending) | From you, when you email us | To answer your request |
